Hollyland announced the release of its latest video transmitter and receive system. Hollyland Pyro ( purchase here) is the first model of a new Pyro Series from the company. Hollyland is yet to reveal what the Pyro series will include.

This one has HDMI connectors but no SDI. USB-C video is available, as are USB power, DC input, and NPF. The company has designed a dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz technology to maximize range and reliability.

Hollyland Pyro – HDMI 4K 30p video transmission

Hollyland Pyro is capable of receiving 4K signals. The Hollyland Pyro H is also capable of sending a 4K video signal. This is an upgrade from other HDMI video transmissions systems that only support 1080p.

The device can transmit video signals up to 1080p in resolutions of 4K at 25, 25 or 30fps, and at a maximum frame rate of 60fps. These signals can be transmitted to multiple devices at once. You can also mix and match tablets, smartphones and receivers with up to four receiving simultaneously.

Hollyland claims that the PyroH improves the stability of wireless video transmission. Its self-developed dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz technology is responsible for this. The device automatically selects a channel with high quality at boot-up, and the smart channel scanning feature allows you to see all frequencies live.

Power in multiple ways

Hollyland Pyro supports several different power sources, as is becoming commonplace with video transmission systems. You can use a Sony NPF battery or the DC barrel jack.

The device can also be powered via USB-C at 5v and 2 Amps. This feature is not available when the device is in broadcast mode.
