In the past few years, we’ve seen many new drones. They always boast better cameras with sharper lenses and higher resolution. We love them. It’s always nice to go back in time.

Clark Lupton from Virginia’s Air Views Media has taken a step back in time. He mounted a Polaroid camera of 1984 on his modern-day FPV for some fun aerial photography.

Combining old and new technology

The Polaroid camera has always been a favorite. Polaroid instant film (and FujiInstax instant film) are becoming increasingly popular, even though smartphones allow us to take photos more quickly.

These cameras offer a unique view of our world, which no other camera can capture. Polaroid has released new cameras yet again. What happens if you throw one in the air instead?

Clark strapped a Polaroid camera to his FPV drone so he could take it for a test drive. Clark attached a Polaroid to his FPV drone, as well as an Insta360 GO3 ( buy here), in order to take the footage of the drone from the back.

It’s not the first time that old cameras have been combined with drones. We saw Australian filmographer Jason De Freitas attach a Super-8 movie camera to his FPV Drone last year.

I enjoy mixing old and new technologies. Bringing old technology into the 21st century can often produce unique results.

Clark may post more Polaroids that he has captured from the sky.
